Manchester United flop Nick Powell has revealed the moment he “gave up” at Old Trafford. The forward joined from Crewe Alexandra in 2012 after scoring 16 goals in a season – but could not repeat these heroics, with only one goal in nine appearances over four seasons.
Powell was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signings at Old Trafford before retiring a year later, joining the club in the same summer.
And Powell has revealed how the Scot played an even bigger part in the Englishman’s departure.
