A man is in hospital after a gunman opened fire in Miles Platting - the day after reports of a shooting less than half a mile away.
Police are investigating the two incidents, which are not believed to be linked. Officers were called at around 8.40pm on Sunday night (March 16), after a man was shot in the leg on Oldham Road.
The 32-year-old was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation.
No arrests have been made. Officers sealed off a section of Oldham Road. Images taken at the scene showed a number of police vehicles within the cordon.
