Dolly Parton is taking on a new role! On Monday (March 21), Variety announced that the country music legend will be teaming up with Reese Witherspoon and James Patterson for a film adaptation of her novel Run, Rose, Run, which she co-wrote with the author. However, her dreams are threatened by a secret she’s desperately trying to hide. “Growing up in Nashville, I’ve loved Dolly since the moment I heard her magical voice and saw her luminous personality shine onstage,” Reese said in a statement. “Beyond her magnetic presence as an artist and performer, she is one of the greatest songwriters and storytellers of our time.
