Manchester City are in negotiations to add a Portuguese club to their CFG stable – just days after completing a deal to buy French outfit Troyes.
City have approached Theodore Fonesca, owner of Algarve-based Portimonense, about becoming the 11th club to join their portfolio.
Fonesca is in Abu Dhabi for talks about the proposed deal having already rejected a £35million offer for the club late last year.
He has since stated that he wants just over £133million to do business. City are unlikely to meet that asking price. But it is possible that their owners will look to take a minority stake in the club.
