A man who brandished a flick knife when bar staff would not give him his phone back was today spared jail. Liam Wilding, who has his own bar, went on a night out with his fellow colleagues.
Wilding, 28, said that he forgot he was carrying a knife in his inside coat pocket until he bought drinks at McCooley's in Liverpool.Liverpool Echo reports that after leaving the boozer, Wilding then realised that he had left his phone behind.
However, when told that he would have to return the next morning to collect it, bar employee George Finch said Wilding shouted at him, before producing the blade.Liverpool Crown Court heard Wilding, of previous good character, admitted possessing a knife in public.
