Locals watched on in horror and speculated that an 'air ambulance landed on Glenrothes Golf Course' as police sealed off the area to other motorists.
On Monday evening police confirmed that one man was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.The nature of his injuries, his age and current medical condition are not known at this stage.The types of vehicles involved, whether then man was a driver, passenger or pedestrian or any further circumstances surrounding the crash were not disclosed.Officers re-opened Golf Course Road just after.
