Reddish at 6.35pm on Sunday. Pictures and video from the scene show flames shooting from the rear of the house as black smoke billows from the roof and windows.At the height of the blaze up to 20 firefighters were at the scene.The road was closed close to the Fir Tree pub while crews fought to extinguish the flames.At this stage it's not known how the fire started.There have been no reports of injuries.The building is thought to have been empty for a number of years.A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said several people had called 999 to report the blaze adding the house was 'well alight' when crews arrived.The spokesman added: "Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service was called at 6.36pm to Gorton Road,.
