It has now been a strong spell for the 24-year-old, though, as he has made nine appearances that total just 213 minutes of play.
This led to speculation that Diego Simeone would be willing to let Torreira return to north London in January. But his agent Pablo Bentancur has claimed that rumours of an upset at the Wanda Metropolitano are not true.
Speaking to Italian outlet GianlucaDiMarzio [via Mirror] , Torreira’s agent said: "Lucas is serene and has nothing in his mind beyond continuing with Atletico.
