Love Holidays issues fraud warning over fake £25 travel refunds

Love Holidays has issued a warning to travellers over fears that fraudsters are posing as staff to con customers out of their money.

The online travel agent said criminals are targeting Brits who have had their holidays cancelled due to the pandemic, and in many cases are promising false refunds.

Thousands of Brits have had their annual holidays cancelled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, though many are now due to go ahead after the Foreign and Commonwealth Office revised its guidelines for people heading abroad.

It said travellers can now safety visit 53 countries without the need to self-isolate on their arrival. But fraudsters are targeting Love Holidays customers who are still desperate for a refund.
