lottery win was an 'accident' after a stranger bumped into her at a ticket machine.LaQuedra Edwards put £30 ($40) into a California Lottery Scratchers vending machine in Tarzana back in November 2021 and was just about to choose her games when another customer rudely bumped into her.

She recalled being annoyed by the person who "didn't say a thing and just walked out the door" because the bump caused her to push a number on the machine that spent the majority of her money.

A $30 200X Scratchers ticket, which she claims she wouldn't have chosen for herself, came out of the machine instead of her usual selection of lower-priced favourites. But her mood quickly changed when she got back to her car and scratched the card to find she has won £7million ($10m).

Edwards said: "I didn't really believe it at first, but I got on the 405 Freeway and kept looking down at (the ticket) and I almost crashed my car."I pulled over, looked at it again and again, scanned it with my (California Lottery mobile) app and I just kept thinking, 'This can't be right.'"I'm still in shock.
