The Foundation of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced $90K in scholarships to seven college-bound high school students pursuing careers in television. 

Emily Longeretta It’s that time of year again. Season 48 of “Survivor” is set to debut with a two-hour premiere episode on Wednesday, February 26, at 8 p.m., airing on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.Following the premiere, 90-minute episodes will air weekly beginning March 5.

J. Kim Murphy Miles Mussenden, best known for his roles in the Marvel series “Cloak & Dagger” and the DC Comics series “Doom Patrol,” will co-lead the coming thriller “Croatoan” with filmmaker Britt Bankhead. The project marks Bankhead’s feature directorial debut.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone, who sang together memorably 20 years ago in a duet on the Grammys, will join together again in spring 2025, this time for a joint tour. The (so far) 10-city outing will mostly hit the northeastern United States, with one date on the Canadian side of the border. It begins April 18, 2025 in Atlantic City, NJ and ends May 2 in Roanoke, VA, with stops in cities including Newark, Boston and Albany.

New Yorker article, “The Family That Built an Empire of Pain” and Barry Meier’s book, “Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America’s Opioid Epidemic.” It retells the opioid crisis from several different perspectives, including billionaire Richard Sackler (Broderick) and his team at Purdue Pharma (Sackler has denied responsibility for the crisis); Edie Flowers (Uzo Aduba), a lawyer working for the US attorney’s office in Roanoke who’s investigating the drug OxyContin; Glen Kryger (Taylor Kitsch), a family man with a small business who gets hooked on OxyContin after he’s injured at work; and Shannon Shaeffer (West Duchovony), a new recruit to the Purdue sales team who begins having doubts. “Back in 2003, I was working at the New York Times and we got a tip that there was this new drug called OxyContin that was running wild on the streets of all these small towns,” Meier, a consulting producer on the show, told The Post.

I didn’t know who she was,” he said.Jordan added that he briefly introduced himself to Gaga, who featured in season six as forest-dwelling witch, before walking away from her.“They could tell I didn’t know,” he said.

In addition to Lyonne, previously announced cast members include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benjamin Bratt, Stephanie Hsu, and David Castañeda.
