Liverpool and Manchester City are ready to go head-to-head to sign Sevilla star Diego Carlos. The Brazilian central defender has attracted major interest from across Europe in recent months.Liverpool were heavily linked with Carlos back in January, with Spanish outlets reporting Jurgen Klopp was ready to break the bank to bring the player in.Marca now write both the Reds and City are interested, along with German champions Bayern Munich.Sevilla have placed a €75m (£68m) release clause on Carlos but are ready to sell due to the fact they feel they can reinvest the cash this summer.Klopp reportedly labelled Carlos as the 'perfect' signing back in April, when Sport reported that the Reds fancied the 27-year-old as Virgil van Dijk's new.
