Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes is a shock summer transfer target for champions Liverpool. The 22-year-old, who has only become a first-team regular this season in Brendan Rodgers’ side, has impressed Jurgen Klopp with his energy and forceful running.
Kop boss Klopp also believes there is plenty to come from the England Under-21 international, who previously spent time on loan at MK Dons, Barnsley and West Brom.
It was at The Hawthorns last season that Barnes made a big impression – so much so that he was recalled by Leicester during the January transfer window.
Since then his selfless play has become an important foil in Foxes striker Jamie Vardy leading the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot, with 23 goals.
