Formula 1 team boss reckons it might be beneficial to the sport if Lewis Hamilton decides to quit ahead of the upcoming season.The Briton is said to be considering his future in racing after losing out on the 2021 title in acrimonious circumstances.Max Verstappen overtook him on the final lap in Abu Dhabi, but only after some controversial decisions from race director Michael Masi which may well have changed the course of the championship.The FIA is in the middle of an investigation into how events unfolded at the end of that race, and is due to reveal its findings in February.Hamilton is "disillusioned" with the sport, in the words of his team boss Toto Wolff, and is said to be waiting on the outcome of that investigation before making a final decision over his retirement.Both he and Mercedes are also said to want Masi removed from his role as they feel his poor decisions cost them the drivers' championship.It has left most fans and pundits in the sport wondering what is next for the 37-year-old, whose total of seven world titles is matched only by the legendary Michael Schumacher.But Williams chief Jost Capito insists he couldn't care less about the future of one of the greatest racers F1 has ever seen."I don’t really care whether he drives or not.
