While the ending of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” put a bow on a lot of the dangling storylines developed by filmmaker James Gunn, it did also tee up what is to come.

Obviously, the ending set up a new Guardians team lineup and the possibility of more films with the characters, but there was also a scene that seemed to set up a potential spinoff project with Chris Pratt returning as Star-Lord.
