Lanarkshire motorisits told to expect delays amidst essential roadworks on A725 in Blantyre

Essential maintenance works on a stretch of the A725 at Glasgow Road in Blantyre will take place this week.Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking roadworks from tonight (Monday, March 21) until Saturday, March 26, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.

This scheme, with a value of £50,000, will benefit around 37,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Traffic will travel straight through mini roundabout before taking 1st exit at the following roundabout (junction with Udstone Road).
