Lanarkshire charity shop's safety fears after months of youth disorder blight town

A Lanarkshire charity shop say they fear for the safety of staff, volunteers and customers after months of youth disorder in the area.

Back in February Lanarkshire Live told how Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland in Strathaven was having to spend vital cash on repairs due to a spate of vandalism - and sadly, months on, problems have continued.

Youths are reportedly gathering in a garden area behind the shop, emptying bins, climbing on the roof and "breaking in" to other units.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
