King Charles made a secret donation to help his neighbouring villagers in southwest Wales, where he and Queen Consort Camilla like to spend their summers away from the stresses of everyday royal life.
The Telegraph reports that the King paid for a defibrillator to be installed at the village hall close to his country estate deep in the hills of southwest Wales .
He also anonymously handed over gifts for the Christmas Fayre in the historic village of Myddfai, near the Brecon Beacons, which has a population of just 400.These acts of kindness have been revealed prior to the new monarch’s trip to Wales on Friday, where he will be attending services in Cardiff.
During his summers the King takes an active role in life in Myddfai, attending local Church services, and speaking to his neighbours around the village.
