Denise Welch has expressed hope that King Charles will "read the room" when it comes to the plans for his official coronation to be crowned as the new monarch.
The Loose Women panellist, 64, appeared on Wednesday's instalment of the ITV daytime show alongside host Jane Moore, Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards.
Since the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, September 8, coverage has been dedicated to the UK's longest reigning monarch and has continued following her funeral on Monday. The former Coronation Street actress added: "But I think that Charles, hopefully as the new King, will read the room and realise that although the money spent on this type of pageantry and pomp obviously brings a lot of revenue into this country, I think that it should be a slightly scaled back affair.
