A Kilwinning community stalwart has celebrated her 100th birthday.Centenarian Dorothy Lynam marked the milestone with her nearest and dearest at Woodwynd Community Centre on Saturday.Formerly a correspondent for the Irvine Herald, Dorothy has worn many hats throughout her lifetime.She is also a Kilwinning historian, Segdoune Carnival committee member and has also crowned the Segdoune Queen.And Dorothy is known for her charitable work raising funds for Parkinsons.Dorothy also spent a large part of her time volunteering at the iconic Kilwinning Abbey.Among the esteemed guests at the birthday bash were deputy Lord Lieutenant Erica Lockhart, North Ayrshire provost Ian Clarkson, Kilwinning councillors Donald Reid and Scott Davidson along with
