Kate Middleton is the biggest royal fashion inspiration in the US, with Meghan Markle coming second, an expert has claimed. A new study by Karen Millen has looked into which royal was most searched for, talked about and shared the most over the last year in America.
A spokesperson for Karen Millen told the Daily Express: "The results found that Kate, with over 9,200 searches per month about her style last year, is the clear winner. "With her iconic gold dress at the James Bond premiere, there's no wonder she reigns over all the others." Throughout 2021, Kate was the most searched for royal by Americans and she also had 453 articles written about her fashion choices.
This was along with 257,287 social engagements with people commenting on her as well. Meghan Markle came in second, with over 8,100 searches per month about her style last year.
The spokesperson added: "From her chic off-duty outfits to her Oprah interview fashion choices, she certainly had many opportunities to shine last year." Throughout 2021, she had 419 articles written about her fashion choices, accompanied by 157,759 social engagements with people commenting on her as well.
