Kate Garraway left stunned after learning she’s related to legendary author

KATE GARRAWAY got more than she bargained for on ITV’s DNA Journey. The Good Morning Britain host, who appears alongside Alison Hammond in tomorrow night’s episode, found she has family links to two Bonds – Paddington creator Michael Bond and James Bond, via 007 creator Ian Fleming.

After meeting her cousins for the very first time in London, Kate discovered one, Karen, is the daughter of children’s writer Michael.

Then during a trip to Jamaica, she learned an ancestor was in the elite T-Force unit during World War Two. This was the inspiration for Fleming’s screen spy.

A show insider said: “Kate was dumbfounded.
