Jose Mourinho hopes Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be available this weekend after suffering a nasty gash when Josh Dasilva caught him with a horror challenge.

Tottenhambeat Brentford 2-0 on Tuesday to set up a Carabao Cup final date against either Manchester United or neighbours City.

Moussa Sissoko and Heung-Min Son scored the goals that broke down Brentford's brave resistance and earned Mourinho's side a place in the April 25 showpiece.

But things turned ugly when Brentford’s Dasilva was sent off after 84 minutes for an X-rated challenge on Hojbjerg. As Hojbjerg closed down Dasilva, the Brentford midfielder lost control of the ball and caught his opponent on the shin, leaving him bleeding from a painful-looking gash.
