Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Dark Horse Comics has revealed the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series “Arcbound,” which marks actor Tom Hardy‘s debut into comic books. Written by Scott Snyder (“Batman,” “Absolute Batman”) and Frank Tieri (“New Excalibur,” “Iron Man”) with art from Ryan Smallman (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) and creative contributions from “Venom” and “Mad Max” star Hardy, “Arcbound” is described as a 12-issue epic sci-fi event.

EXCLUSIVE: Sin City, Hellboy and Umbrella Academy publisher Dark Horse Comics has come aboard to release Tom Hardy‘s debut comic book series, Arcbound.

Tom Hardy has teamed up with writer Scott Snyder to create a brand-new comic book series — Arcbound.The Venom actor has taken on the title of creative collaborator and will focus on character development for the broader Arcbound universe.As part of the comic’s release, Hardy and the creative team will appear for a signing on Saturday (October 14) at New York Comic Con from 4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

A television series based on the critically acclaimed comic book series Wytches is headed to Prime Video. The streaming platform has ordered an animated series adaptation of Scott Snyder and Jock’s comic books, from Plan B Entertainment, Project 51 Productions, and Amazon Studios. Wytches will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.  

 

EXCLUSIVE: Comic book and graphic novel publisher IDW has unveiled nine new original comic book projects set for release beginning in July as part of a new initiative. While the focus is on creating new comic book IP, following publishing of the comics, the IDW Entertainment Group will work to potentially develop the IP for film, television and other entertainment mediums the way the company has done in the past with such titles as Wynonna Earp and Locke & Key.

Robert Pattinson has revealed what he’d like to see from a potential sequel to The Batman.While a sequel has yet to be officially announced, the actor has mentioned some Batman foes that he’d like a follow-up to explore.Speaking to Den Of Geek about a sequel, Pattinson said: “I’d love to do something like Court of Owls.”He added: “There are elements of The Batman which are kind of horror and I think it really feels quite new for Batman.”The Court of Owls is a secret organised crime group led by wealthy Gotham families in owl masks who employ mutated assassins to do their bidding. The storyline was originally created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.The other villain Pattinson mentions is Calendar Man, who commits crimes that correspond with holidays and significant dates.
