EXCLUSIVE: Comic book and graphic novel publisher IDW has unveiled nine new original comic book projects set for release beginning in July as part of a new initiative.
While the focus is on creating new comic book IP, following publishing of the comics, the IDW Entertainment Group will work to potentially develop the IP for film, television and other entertainment mediums the way the company has done in the past with such titles as Wynonna Earp and Locke & Key.
Reflecting genres including crime thriller, supernatural horror, science fiction and epic fantasy, the projects hail from New York Times bestselling authors, top industry artists and writers, as well as newcomers, including Scott Snyder, G.
Willow Wilson and Stephen Graham Jones, among others.
