‘Bad Boys 4’: Jacob Scipio Returns as Villain in Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Sequel

Matt Donnelly Senior Film Writer Jacob Scipio is headed back to the “Bad Boys” universe. Actor Scipio, who most recently starred opposite Pedro Pascal and Nicolas Cage in the meta adventure “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” will reprise his role as Armando Aretas – the estranged son of Will Smith’s Miami-Dade police detective character Mike Lowery. Scipio is getting a narrative upgrade from his debut in 2020’s “Bad Boys for Life,” we hear, as the script will see him play the main antagonist in the action film led by Smith and Martin Lawrence.

‘Cocaine Bear’ Star Aaron Holliday Joins ‘Faces of Death’ Remake From ‘How to Blow Up a Pipeline’ Helmer Daniel Goldhaber (EXCLUSIVE)
John Bleasdale Guest Contributor “Cocaine Bear” and “Euphoria” actor Aaron Holliday has joined a remake of “Faces of Death” from “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” director Daniel Goldhaber. The project began filming on Monday in New Orleans. Holliday will join cast members Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”) and Dacre Montgomery (“Stranger Things”), who Legendary had previously announced. Helmer Goldhaber’s most recent film “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” is currently on international release, from a script co-written with Isa Mazzei, a regular collaborator who co-wrote his first feature, “Cam,” in 2018. Holliday recently broke out in Elizabeth Banks’ buzzy horror comedy “Cocaine Bear” for Universal Pictures. He stars in the Lord-Miller produced comedy-thriller alongside Keri Russell, Ray Liotta, Margo Martindale, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Holliday recently wrapped a leading role in James Kimball’s feature debut “For the Night,” alongside Will Block and Odessa A’zion. He also appeared in the Season 2 finale of HBO’s “Euphoria,” playing ‘Skye’ opposite Jacob Elordi and Eric Dane.

Halsey’s feature film debut Americana opposite Sydney Sweeney – check out the clip below.Directed by Tony Tost, the modern-day western follows waitress Penny Jo (Sweeney) and lonesome cowboy Lefty (Paul Walter Hauser) as they plan to steal a mythical Native American artifact from criminals.Their plan, however, is made complicated by Mandy (Halsey), the girlfriend of the lead criminal, who decides to take the artifact for her own personal reasons.As reported by Deadline, the clip is the first time Penny Jo and Lefty come into contact with Mandy, after they tail her to a remote gas station.Other cast members include Eric Dane, Zahn McClarnon, Gavin Maddox Bergman, Simon Rex, Toby Huss and Harriet Sansom Harris.The film was announced last year under the title National Anthem. It marks the second major on-screen collaboration between Halsey and Sweeney, after they were both cast in upcoming TV series The Player’s Table back in 2020.The pair also appeared together in the music video for Halsey’s 2019 track ‘Graveyard’.While Americana represents Halsey’s first major on-screen role, their previous credits include voice roles in Sing 2, Teen Titans Go! To The Movies and and a cameo appearance in 2018’s A Star Is Born.Americana had its world premiere on Friday (March 17) at SXSW.
