Jose Mourinho says he "feels sorry" for Toby Alderweireld after the Belgian suffered what his manager thinks could be a serious injury in Tottenham's win over Manchester City.
Spurs were terrific in their 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola's side, with Son Heung-min opening the scoring early on and substitute Giovani Lo Celso adding a second in the second period.
On an impressive day for the hosts, Alderweireld's late injury served as the only black mark after he pulled up with a groin problem in the 81st minute.
The Belgian international was treated on the pitch before being replaced by Wales international Joe Rodon. Mourinho told Sky Sports after the match: "I just feel sorry for Toby, because it was a fantastic performance.
