John Lewis shoppers will have to stand eight steps apart on escalators and collect orders from car parks, when the chain starts its 'phased reopening' on Monday.
Two branches - in Kingston and Poole - will return from lockdown on June 15, and they'll be "very different" to what customers may expect.
Safety signs will be displayed throughout stores to help maintain social distancing, while shoppers will have to wait their turn before being allowed inside branches.
It follows in line with government rules on how stores will be able to operate - which include a ban on all fitting rooms. From Monday, John Lewis's home design and personal styling services will be closed.
