John Lewis to reopen Scots stores later this month with strict social distancing

Its branch in Aberdeen will remain closed as it continues to iron out procedures designed to safeguard staff and customers amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Customers have been advised of queuing outside shops as the firm enforces two-metre social distancing rules inside.Staff will carry out more thorough cleaning around the shop, including the sanitising of baskets and various other touch points.Protective screens have been installed at till points while customers have been urged to pay by card instead of cash.
