Tottenham star Jan Vertonghen's home was reportedly targeted by armed thugs during their recent Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
According to the Express , Vertonghen's wife, Sophie De Vries, and two young children were left terrified when their home was broken into whilst the Belgian defender was away in Germany with his club.
Police are said to be on the hunt for four men who staged the attack at around 8pm last Tuesday and demanded valuables and cash from Vertonghen's frightened family.
They are said to have wielded knives and machetes at the family as they fled with electronic items as police now investigate.
