Jamie Oliver felt 'threatened by food industry' while making new obesity show

He the food industry as “the mother of all businesses” and opened up about his time filming the sugar-based documentary.Jamie revealed that he was “tracked down by every CEO in every way” due to the controversial nature and potential harmful impact of the investigative documentary.The 46-year-old also spoke to the Prime Minister at the time David Cameron about the country’s sugar tax.The tax was eventually put in place in April 2018 and was applied to soft drinks.Michael questioned the health advocate and asked if he had ever felt “menaced” or “threatened” by the food industry.Oliver responded: “Honestly, I have to be really careful what I say here. "From the second I started producing Sugar Rush to the moment the sugar tax happened is the only time I have had in my life where there were multiple break-ins and people getting into our [digital] systems.”The father-of-five explained that he had been a victim of “digital hacking”, something which he had never experienced before: “The only time that has ever happened to me, let alone multiple times, was in that five-month period.”The chef also said that he used a shocking visual aide to get his point across to David Cameron.He had a graph that showcased childhood obesity rates and the comparison between poor and well-off children.

Michael Mosley, who is perhaps best known for his appearances on The One Show and This Morning, has recently come under fire.
