James Gunn confirms Suicide Squad sequel still ‘on schedule’ with no coronavirus delays

James Gunn, the director of the Suicide Squad sequel, has said the movie is still tracking for an August 2021 release date. The news comes as various films, such as Black Widow, Jungle Cruise and Mulan, have had their release dates pushed back because of coronavirus.

James’s movie – somewhat confusingly called The Suicide Squad (its 2016 predecessor is called, simply, Suicide Squad) – finished shooting in February 2020.So we’re guessing working-from-home-post-production is coming along nicely… Asked on Twitter if coronavirus was affecting his work, James replied: ‘On The Suicide Squad?
