Sinead O’Connor has announced her retirement from music after over 30 years as one of our most high-profile artists. In what will be a devastating blow to fans the 54-year-old has also announced that she also will no longer go on tour.
The singer broke the news on Twitter and admitted that she felt that it was the right time to end her career in the industry and that she was tired after so many years on the go.
She told fans: ‘This is to announce my retirement from touring and from working in the record business. I’ve gotten older and I’m tired.
So it’s time for me to hang up my nipple tassels having truly given it my all.’ ‘NVDA in 2022 will be my last release. And there will be no more touring or promo.’ Her followers were quick to share
