People living on a leafy suburban street in north Manchester have reacted with shock after the bomb squad descended on a house this afternoon (October 20).
Police were alerted to 'suspicious materials' found inside a residential property on Charlestown Road in Blackley today at about 1.35pm.
The incident prompted a large-scale response, with bomb disposal officers spotted arriving at the scene shortly afterwards.
