Holby City star Rosie Marcel has played consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Jac Naylor for over 15 years.The 45-year-old actress shot to fame as a toddler and has become one of the BBC's highest-paid stars.Away from the cameras, Rosie is married to gym owner Ben Stacey and the pair are parents to a little girl named Beau.She has a black belt in karate and previously revealed she'd like to be a stint woman.As fans of the BBC one medical drama prepare to wave goodbye to Jac, and Holby City, for good, Daily Star has taken a look into Rosie's life away from the spotlight.Rosie had her first job at the age of three as a fairy in A Midsummer Nights Dream at the National Theatre.In 1989, the young star was cast as Sophie in the children's comedy drama Press Gang.10 years later, she played Donna Palmer in Days Like These, which was set in the 1970s.In November 2005, Rosie joined Holby City as Jac Naylor.She also played Jac in Holby's sister series Casualty.Prior to this, she appeared in over twenty episodes of ITV police drama The Bill as Louise Larson.For her work in a 2019 storyline which saw Jac have a mental breakdown, Holby City bosses put forward Rosie's name for BAFTA consideration.However, she did not ultimately receive a nomination.It was revealed in the BBC's Annual Report for 2016 that Rosie was one of the BBC's highest-paid stars, with an annual salary for her role in Holby City in the range of £200,000 to £249,000.This made her the highest-paid actor on the series at the time.In January 2021, Rosie announced her departure from the medical series after 16 years in the role.

However, she returned four months later.Rosie is the daughter of director Terry Marcel and actress Lindsey Brook.Terry is best known for the cult.
