A man worried about the plight of Manchester's homeless people in the coronavirus lockdown came up with a bright idea using the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Dominic Dietrich loves to play the Wetherspoons app game - in which punters drop their table number on social media so pals can send them free food and drinks from anywhere around the country.

And when Chancellor Rishi Sunak brought in the discount dining scheme this August to boost the economy, it got the 25-year-old thinking.
