Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxOn the last days of Chancellor Rishi Sunak's Eat Out To Help Out scheme, Brits have flocked to restaurants with queues spotted snaking down streets.Diners have been able to enjoy 50% off at some of the nation’s biggest restaurants this month.The deal is available to all customers Monday through to Wednesday every week in August.It is designed to get Brits out of the house again and spending on businesses after months of isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.Chancellor Rishi Sunak's scheme appears to have worked with over 64,000,000 meals sold throughout the month and netting businesses much needed cash.Some 84,000 restaurants signed.
