If navy was the classic choice a few years ago, now all bets are off. ‘We’re selling so much pink,’ says Una Joyce, fashion director at Reiss, a brand you might not have previously considered for special events.
That could change now that it has doubled down on its occasion wear and launched a dedicated area for it upstairs in its Regent’s Street store in London.
Special event dressing is big business – if we’ve become more casual at work, we’re making up for it at weddings and parties.Joyce reports that trouser suits, especially colourful ones, are popular choices. ‘People are also mixing and matching them – a white jacket and matching waistcoat with Kelly green trousers, for instance.’So we’re back with colour – which is what sold me on what I’m wearing here.
