Big Brother star Verne Troyer died aged 49 on Saturday, April 21, in Los Angeles, California. Verne, who was born with a genetic disorder known as achondroplasia dwarfism, battled alcoholism and depression.The Mini-Me star's death was ruled as a suicide, a coroner in Los Angeles said.Following an autopsy and further tests, the Los Angeles county department of medical examiner-coroner said Troyer died on 21 April from the effects of alcohol.It was revealed he had a "very high" amount of alcohol in his blood at the time of his death.A statement shared on Verne's official Instagram profile after his death detailed the actor's struggles.Addressed to the profile's 545k followers, the post read: "Verne was also a fighter when it came to his own.
