Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.
The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.
Harry Styles to headline Radio 1's Big Weekend and Capital FM's Summertime Ball
dailystar.co.ukHarry Styles is set to headline both Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Capital’s Summertime Ball this year, following the Big Weekend’s two-year hiatus due to Covid-19.
He was announced as the event’s final headline act, which is due to take place at War Memorial Park in Coventry from 27 May to 29 May.
Fellow acts will include Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, San Fender, George Ezra, Lorde, Fontaines D.C. and Sigrid throughout the weekend.Alongside his pals, Harry is booked to perform “a full solo festival set” as Radio 1’s flagship live music event is expected to host 80,000 fans.BBC One is set to broadcast highlights from his set, along with a special Harry Styles show, and a small number of tickets have been held back, especially for his stans.The Big Weekend will also feature Radio 1 Dance Stage, BBC Music Introducing Stage and Radio 1 Relax Tent.Harry will also be headlining Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on June 12, 2022.The cheeky Cheshire chap will perform alongside the likes of KSI, Anne-Marie, Eddie Benjamin and Becky Hill at one of the hottest events of the year.
Harry, however, is no stranger to Wembley Stadium, having played there on several occasions with his former One Direction bandmates and will also be headlining the iconic venue for two nights during his upcoming world tour.
