Harry Kane makes World Cup captains' pledge on shameful Qatar 2022 issues

Harry Kane will join forces with rival international captains to address the issue of Qatar 2022.England skipper Kane will speak to counterparts including Tottenham team-mates Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-Min, as well as Gareth Bale, about their stance ahead of the World Cup on Qatar's dreadful human rights record.The tournament will kick-off in November against the backdrop of huge criticism aimed at FIFA for allowing Qatar to stage the Finals in the first place.

FA bosses have spent the last month talking to a host of human rights organisations, including Amnesty International and Liberty, to gather information to present to the players.Chief executive Mark Bullingham is keen to make sure the squad is educated on how migrant workers have been treated in Qatar and the subsequent criticism of FIFA to grant them the tournament.

England boss Gareth Southgate addressed his stars at St George's Park on Tuesday about the various issues involved.And Kane admits it's important for captains worldwide to be united in their stance against what is happening in Qatar.

Kane said: "It's not something that we've had deep discussions about. I think over this camp and the next camp we'll talk about what we can do."There's obviously myself and a couple of other national captains in my team at Tottenham, so maybe talking to them and other national team captains to see if we can be unified and what we try and do and how we try and approach it.
