Hamilton Bohannon who was one of the most successful Motown musicians of his time as sadly died. The drummer has 78-years-old and backed the likes of Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye during their careers.
The news was announced in his local newspaper in Georgia town where he was born has confirmed. The Newman Times-Harald reported they had spoken to members of Bohannon's family though did not confirm the cause of death.
During his career Bonannon worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including his friend Jimi Hendrix. The duo performed at the Royal Peacock venue in Atlanta.
