Gunman holds up Glasgow William Hill bookies as cops launch manhunt

Police have launched a hunt for a gunman who tried to hold up a bookies in Glasgow. The attempted robbery at a bookmakers on Crow Road, in the West End of the city, happened at around 7.50pm on Friday, October 9.

A man threatened a member of staff at the William Hill betting shop with what looked like a black handgun, before making off empty handed.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 6 and of medium build.He is in his 30s and was wearing grey jogging bottoms with a distinctive red long sleeve top, a black snood, black hat and black glasses.He was also carrying a black drawstring bag.Constable Stuart Stevens said: “This was a frightening experience for the member of staff, who fortunately was not injured in the incident."I’m.
