Prince William and Kate Middleton are famous for sharing sweet signs of affection in public.The royal couple have been husband and wife for over a decade and seem more in love than ever – they were even seen competing against each other in a rugby match recently.

But, 40 year old Kate has confessed that she wasn’t always so at ease in William’s presence. During their 2010 engagement interview, the Duchess revealed her reaction to meeting the Prince, 39, for the first time.

She admitted to William: “I went bright red and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you. It did take a bit of time to get to know each other.” The pair say they met at St Andrews University, but royal author Katie Nicholl claims they crossed paths many years before.
