Grand Tour's James May, 59, hospitalised after crashing car into wall at 75mph

The Sun report.The hosts were taking it in turns along a tunnel at a Norwegian naval base.The tunnel’s lights came on as they were already speeding which gave them all three just seconds to react as they ran out of space.However, James braked too late as he was travelling at 75mph and hit a wall.James had to be helped out of his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 by paramedics and was covered in blood.His other two co-hosts carried on with the tour on their Arctic Circle trip without him.This isn't the first time one of them have had a big accident - with Richard Hammond coming close to death in 2006.Richard crashed his 88mph jet-powered car while filming content for the BBC’s Top Gear.May's new show will be released later this year as part of a new Grand Tour special.The accident happened at the decommissioned Olavsvern naval base near the city of Tromsø.A source told The Sun: “It looked extremely worrying at first.
