Big trees are simply better at sequestering carbon from the atmosphere, although the mantra “right plant for the right place” is even more crucial with trees, if they are to pull carbon into their structure at maximum efficiency.It pains Mike Glover to see ‘failing’ trees that are being prevented from doing this job; they need to be nurtured, and for their first two summers, carefully watered.
