Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Prince George is currently third in line to the British throne, despite only being an adorable eight-year-old. The young prince is behind his grandfather Prince Charles and his father Prince William, but before he is crowned himself he may have a few title changes to go through first.

Once his dad William is crowned King and his mum Kate is the Queen, George will be the next male heir to the throne meaning he will likely be awarded the title of Prince of Wales.As this title must be bestowed upon the heir by the monarch, it's not a given it will happen - but it is to be expected that George will be granted it when the time comes.

As reported in The Mirror, George is likely to also get dukedom on his wedding day if and when he chooses to marry - meaning he may have two different titles before he becomes the Prince of Wales.
