After teasing us with casting announcements and rumoured plot points, it looks like the Game of Thrones prequel is about to start filming.
The HBO spin-off series of the hit fantasy show will be a 10-episode prequel set 300 years prior to the original. It’s set to tell the tale of the Targaryen civil war that was hinted at in Game of Thrones and fans are keen to dive back into the world of Westeros.
HBO has now confirmed that the prequel, titled House of the Dragon, is set to kick off filming this spring. According to Deadline, during a panel with the Television Critics Association, the network confirmed shooting is set to commence in April.
