Jill Goldsmith Co-Business EditorMatch Group has named former CBS Interactive chief Jim Lanzone CEO of its flagship dating app Tinder starting August 3, reporting to parent Match Group chief executive Shar Dubey.Lanzone joins Tinder from investment firm Benchmark Capital where he served as an executive-in-residence.
Until 2019, he was chief digital officer of CBS Corp. (now ViacomCBS) and President and CEO of CBS Interactive. He joined the company in 2011and led a digital transformation, launching streaming subscription service CBS All Access and free, ad-supported services CBSN, CBS Sports HQ and ET Live.
Previously he was founder-CEO of video search and programming guide Clicker Media and chief executive of Ask.com. Viacom and CBS merged.
