READ MORE: Mum savaged to death by pet dogs in horror attack as husband fought to save her The incident unfolded after mum and daughter went for a walk in a park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday (February 10).A dog owner that had been walking their pet in the same park was inviting kids to stroke and pat the animal.But when it came to Florian’s daughter’s turn, disaster struck. “My daughter went up and pet him, and all of a sudden, the dog turned and bit her in her face,” Florian told local news site WSVN.The little girl’s mum desperately tried to save her: “My wife was shocked and screamed, tried to pull the dog back by its collar, and the collar broke,” Florian said.He added: “The dog attacked again, this time more viciously, and she was grabbing the dog and fighting it back, holding on to it, screaming at the woman to take control of her dog.”Florian went on: “The owner of the dog didn’t take control of the situation, unfortunately, and my wife had to basically jump in and wrestle the dog away while my little girl was bleeding on the ground”.Eventually, the frantic mum managed to get her child free, and rushed her to a local hospital emergency room.Meanwhile, the dog’s owner left the park, but police have since managed to track them down.
